Evaluating of Football Player 1v1 Abilities based on the Glicko-2 with Modifications

In this paper, the authors propose an approach to measure the 1v1 abilities of football players. The authors utilize the Glicko-2 rating system as the foundational model but enhance it by incorporating the football game context of duels. As a result, ratings for players’ aerial dueling abilities were calculated, along with ratings of players’ skills of dribbling and defense against opponent dribbling.
